The Image and Immunohistochemical Laboratory is part of the Research Support Services that IdiPaz makes available to its own research groups and external research groups. The main objective of the service is to offer advice on techniques and supply of reagents, material and equipment to carry out histology, histoenzimology and immunohistochemistry on tissues or cells and their subsequent image analysis.*

For Immunohistochemical techniques, the laboratory has the equipment to perform cytological studies, paraffin, freezing of samples, microtomes and cryostates for tissue sections, as well as material and reagents for performing routine histological, immunohistochemical, immunofluorescent
techniques, etc. In Image Analysis, the service has an inverted fluorescence microscope, two conventional microscopes and another for in vivo image acquisition. There are also programs for image processing, being able to perform morphometric analysis, FISH, deconvolution
(colocalization), among others.
