Strategic Objectives
The strategic objectives of the IASalud Group focus on practical research to implement artificial intelligence tools in clinical practice, with a primary emphasis on intensive care for patients admitted to ICUs.
Research lines
Current workstreams:
1. Development of an intelligent urinometer for automated measurement of diuresis, colorimetry, and spectrometry in catheterized critical patients.
2.Smart wearable for reducing dysmenorrhea pain through TENS electrostimulation.
3.Automated capillary refill assessment for peripheral arterial function evaluation.
4.Thermal camera for automated body temperature analysis and internal perfusion estimation. 5.Automated detection of respiratory insufficiency in children with HIV in Sub-Saharan Africa through respiratory sound analysis.
6. Cardiovascular risk prediction using machine learning.
7. Automated glucose monitoring in critically ill ICU patients.
8. Automatic monitoring of hand hygiene compliance in ICUs.
9. Non-invasive lactate measurement in critical patients.
10. Early detection of pre-eclampsia in pregnant women through remote monitoring and analysis of aspirin efficacy as a preventive therapy.
11. Fingerprint and hand vein pattern recognition for newborn identification.
